What will you be doing?
We’re seeking a talented individual to join our Monitoring Trustee Services team in London.
Competition authorities such as the European Commission and the Competition and Markets Authority sometimes rule that a monitoring trustee be appointed to ensure that a business complies with its obligations. Whether this is as part of a merger clearance or a market investigation, the process can be costly and time consuming.
Reducing the burden this can impose on a business requires a monitoring trustee with the experience to understand the market and how the regulator works, the breadth of knowledge to keep costs down and the commercial know-how to get the job done with minimal disruption.
As Administrator, some of your responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of documents as directed by Head of MT services
- Attend client meeting calls, when required to be used for reporting to clients and regulators
- Record all time spent on jobs and complete timesheets on a weekly basis with supporting data/narrative of work undertaken
- Monitor WIP for various MT clients
- Preparing timesheet for particular projects before billing is raised (liaising with contractors where necessary) for review by MT leadership team
- Raise fee notes for Partner approval and monitor outstanding fees
- Collate expense claims for MT Partner to report to client, where required
- Assist with any other ad-hoc client related chargeable tasks
- Logging all incoming documents in relevant project folders, where required and assist with report QA
- Monitor client queries and assist the MT team with resolving them effectively
- Monitor and communicate the progress of client work with the appropriate internal team
- Respect client confidentiality
- Maintain good timekeeping and are flexible in order to meet business needs
- Respond appropriately and promptly to client demands, ensuring information provided is clear and accurate for review by MT leadership team
- Maintains a high level or awareness and demonstrates a sound understanding of the group’s risk management framework and procedures and how they are applied
- Assist in coordinating diaries when the MT leadership has site visit with client
- Assist with new client take-on procedures, including research and obtaining the relevant AML documentation, for Partner review
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Detailed knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Fast and accurate audio and copy typing (minimum 60wpm tested)
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work well in a pressurised environment with the ability to prioritise work
- Team player
- Abilityty to work using own initiative
