What will you be doing?

We’re seeking a talented individual to join our Accounting Advisory team in London. This team is a client-focussed, commercial accounting advisory team within Evelyn Partners Assurance & Business Services (ABS) department.  The team works across service lines and provides the opportunity to work in a role that involves financial reporting advisory, transactions and business advisory services.

As Assistant Manager/ Manager, some of your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Leading the profitable delivery of a variety of financial reporting advisory projects, always supporting other service lines within the firm with the delivery of cross-team projects and providing the highest level of client service possible.
  • Taking full ownership of project management - including preparation of budgets, client take-on, delivering the agreed scope of work, and managing the internal review and billing process.
  • Inspiring and supporting the development of less senior members of the team in their progression, whilst overseeing and reviewing their work and ensuring firm policy and procedures are followed.
  • Developing and maintaining an advanced level of technical knowledge through appropriate reading and courses and sharing that knowledge with the team.
  • Supporting the development of thought leadership and marketing pieces and hosting internal and external related events to raise the profile of the team.
  • Proactively developing, maintaining, and generating leads and opportunities from their internal and external network.
  • Contributing to the growth of the team by contributing to the team’s strategic objectives, getting involved in business development activities, building the team’s internal culture, supporting proposals to new clients, and agreeing projects with the firm’s existing clients.

 

To be successful in this role, you should have:

 

  • ACA qualification or equivalent.
  • Expert financial reporting skillset under IFRS and UK GAAP, with experience of applying these principles in complex situations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a proven ability to articulate complex financial reporting matter in a simple and easy to understand manner.
  • Excellent report writing skills and a willingness to embrace the use of technology to improve the format of our outputs in this area.
  • Proactive and enthusiastic approach to working – a “self starter.”
  • Advanced project management skills, including experience of leading teams.
  • Analytical ability and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work as a team player closely at all levels.
  • Advanced coaching and development skills.
